Tennessee Looking Forward to ‘One Game Season’ Against Vandy

It’s down to a one game season for Tennessee as they take on Vanderbilt in their regular season finale.
If the 5-6 Vols can snap a two-game losing skid to their in-state rival, they’ll finally taste a bowl game for the first time in four years.
Said head coach Butch Jones,"It’s a big game for a number of reasons. It’s a big game because it’s the last regular season opportunity that our seniors will have. It’s a chance to build momentum moving forward, which we have tremendous momentum. And we’re fighting for bowl eligibility. It’s an in-state rivalry game, so there’s a lot on the line."
Said defensive back Cam Sutton,"It’s do or die. It’s win or go home. Hopefully it won’t take much motivation for us to get up this week. We all have one goal in mind. That’s to send our seniors out on a good note and make it to a bowl game."
Said quarterback Josh Dobbs,"It’s for our sixth win and to become bowl eligible. The seniors deserve to go to a bowl game. Our goals are at stake this week, so we’ve got to come ready to play."
Said linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin,"I’m from middle Tennessee, so when I go home, I’ve got to see that black and gold everywhere. I hate it. I won’t let that happen this week."
Said Jones,"I have a lot of respect for Coach (Derek) Mason in what he’s building there. I know what he’s going through. Year one is always the most difficult year. Done it three times. I know what he’s dealing with. They’re a very, very talented football team. They’re very physical. They’ve come up short a few times, but they have our respect. They’re physical, and they’re going to expect to win. They have great confidence, particularly over the last couple of years."
