43rd Annual Red Bank Jubilee returns
RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – It was a busy Saturday in Red Bank. Fact is, any time you shut down the streets, you know something big is probably going down.
The 43rd annual Red Bank Jubilee filled the streets with vendors, various activities and lots of good vibes.
“Today were celebrating our annual Jubilee’s, this event is one of Red Banks favorite, but it draws people from all over. We got vendors, we’ve got nine food trucks, got a whole Kidzone with a bounce house and face paint, pony rides, a petting zoo,” said Red Bank Parks and Recreation Manager, Jeffery Grabe.
Many local vendors and businesses contributed to the Jubilee this year by giving the people who attended an opportunity at free items such as bicycles.
“One of our local nonprofit Wide Oak Bicycle Co-Op is out here rodeo which is really cool they’re giving out 53 bikes for kids that don’t have them. They are also letting kids ride through the obstacle course to get the feeling what it’s like to ride an urban environment,” said Grabe.
He has noticed how much the Jubilee has grown throughout the years and the festival advisory board wanted to shake things up a bit this year by having more options for kids to enjoy themselves.
“One of the things they really wanted to focus on this year with really young families, and people that are a little bit older who might be on a fixed income, were free fun activities for everybody here. The kid zone does just that, there’s a playground kid’s corner there’s a bounce house there’s free pet in zoo, free pony rides, face painting, and the bicycle rodeo,” said Grabe.
While the weather did get things off to a slow start, it was obvious people were willing to go through all measures to experience the notorious 43rd annual Red Bank Jubilee this past Saturday.
