The Company Lab brings entrepreneurs to Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Company Lab gathered a group of entrepreneurs from around the world to come to Chattanooga.

Once here they got to meet with Mayor Tim Kelly.

Mayor Kelly said, “Having come from an entrepreneurial background myself and really trying to drive a culture of innovation here it’s fantastic. I’ve already talked to some of the startup founders and what they are working on. What they are working on is exactly the sort of thing we hope becomes a growing cluster for Chattanooga.”

One of the entrepreneurs has big plans for his company here.

Abhishek Sastri is the CEO of Fluix Inc.

He said, “These are great data center hubs. We hope to do a pilot opportunity here where we can validate the energy savings without AI technology and if that works, open up an office here. Bring some jobs to the city, bring some AI talent, and keep moving forward. We are super excited to be a part of it.”

Another thought Chattanooga had unique qualities.

Michael Lim the Founder of Xtelligent said, “The ecosystem around Chattanooga has been extremely effective in putting projects together or securing federal funding. Even despite the steep competition you’d see from other states like Los Angeles or San Francisco or others so I thought that was impressive.”

The goal is to help give back to the community.

“I hope that this can be a great incubator of sorts that will enable us to further make progress and expand out from here on. At the same time, hopefully we can better the city and the community at the same time,” said Lim.

Mayor Kelly was glad he could work with Co. Lab.

He said, “To narrow that focus and really narrow in on what we can own in Chattanooga and what we can do better than other places do. That’s what Co Lab has done and that’s why we’re here today with these startups in sustainable mobility.”

Co. Lab sought out people from other states, like L.A, and other countries, like India.
