The Cornbread Festival celebrates 27 years of success in South Pittsburg this weekend

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- This weekend, South Pittsburg, Tennessee welcomed many to their annual Cornbread Festival for it’s 27th year in a row.

There are over 350 volunteers of all ages that put on the festival every year.

Preparations for the festival begin as early as 8 months prior to the festival weekend.

Visitors of all ages were invited to play games, ride carnival rides, and wander through the booths that lined the streets.

There was plenty of Southern style treats for all to enjoy whether it was honey, fudge, rock candies and of course cornbread.

There were concerts going on throughout the festival.
