The deal has closed turning McDonald Farm into county industrial park
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – Hamilton County’s purchase of the old McDonald Farm in now complete. The plan is to turn the 2,100 acre site into the county’s newest industrial park. The property is off Dayton Pike near the Rhea County line, just south of Graysville.
Mayor Jim Coppinger says “Our concept is to use the McDonald Farm site for mixed development and our hope is to eventually have a corporate headquarters that offers good wages locate at the farm.”
Some of the old farm will be used for recreational and other mixed uses. The Mayor hopes the recreational part will begin as early as this spring. He says there has already been some interest in the site.
