The Enterprise Center awarded nearly $2 million for digital training

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Enterprise Center recently received a $1.9 million award for its Tech Goes Home training program.

The funding comes from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, which allocated $163 million to increase broadband access.

The Tech Goes Home program provides digital literacy training and workforce development initiatives.

The Enterprise Center said this program serves residents across Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea and Sequatchie Counties.

“We’re thrilled Tech Goes Home will be able to deepen its work in communities across our region through this investment,” said The Enterprise Center CEO Deb Socia. “Broadband is essential in 2024 and this ongoing digital equity work is crucial to community connectivity. Since 2015, TGH has reached more than 12,000 Tennesseans and we’re committed to ensuring that every individual has the technology and training they need to succeed.”
