There will be no June Jam concert this year in Fort Payne
FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – The June Jam will not be returning to Fort Payne this year, after all.
The Jam was an all-star country music festival that originally highlighted the hometown of the group “Alabama.”
The festival was re-booted in 2023.
But organizers paused it last year when another festival moved closer to Fort Payne in the same time frame.
They promised to return this year, but that won’t happen.
Organizers say that fan appreciation week will go on with more details coming soon.
The group Alabama had 27 number one country hits in the 80s and 90s.
They were formed by 3 cousins from the Fort Payne area.
Now they are down to two founding members, Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry.
