Thompson pleads guilty to child sexual abuse charges

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A Lookout Mountain man pleaded guilty to child sex charges in federal court on Friday.

James C. Thompson was accused of transporting underage victims across state lines sexual purposes.

In the plea deal, Thompson admits to taking a person under 18 to Scottsboro, Alabama and performing a sex act on him.

He was also charged with two other cases.

Thompson faces up to 15 years in prison but will be sentenced later.

He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
