THP Updates I-75 Fatal Crash
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF-TV) – Three agencies work to uncover evidence after last Thursday’s fatal wreck on I-75.
Six people, including two children, died when an 18-wheeler plowed into a row of cars slowed by construction near Ooltewah.
It was one of the worst traffic accidents in recent memory in Hamilton county.
The truck driver was 39-year-old Benjamin Scott Brewer.
He’s under investigation.
Authorities in Wildwood, Florida report he was cited for a traffic accident the day before the Chattanooga crash, and Rock County, Wisconsin officials have a warrant for Brewer’s arrest on a charge of trying to get a fake prescription for narcotics filled at a drug store.

The National Transportation Safety Board, the Chattanooga Police Department and Highway patrol are working together to prepare a report on the deadly crash.
