Three dead, one arrested after fatal crash in Bachman Tunnel
EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Three are dead and an arrest has been made after a fatal crash in the Bachman Tunnel Saturday morning.
The East Ridge Police Department (ERPD) responded to reports of a serious single car crash inside Bachman Tunnel.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered three people who were deceased.
They were identified as the following:
- Kimberlyn Lopez Gallard (age 29)
- Edguar Medina (estimated age, 20-25)
- Alexandra Vera (age 24)
Suspect, Yerson Ysaac Sanchez Rivera, was identified as the driver of the vehicle.

Rivera attempted to leave the scene on foot, but he was later arrested.
He’s being charged with the following:
- Vehicular Homicide (3 Counts)
- Failure to Render Aid (3 Counts)
- Driving Under the Influence
- Reckless Driving
- Failure to Maintain Lane
- Financial Responsibility
- Driving without a license
- Leaving the scene of a crash involving death
- Due care
Rivera is being held on a $270,000 bond.
