Three people shot in Athens, TN

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)- Athens Police said there were three people shot Saturday night, one person died. 

It happened on Lime Street just before 4:30 pm. 

Police officers responded to Starr Regional Medical Center in reference to two subjects coming into the hospital with gunshot wounds. 

Rendell Cory Jones, 40-years-old was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital. Tim White, 47-years-old, was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Officers quickly learned there was a third victim still inside the home on Lime Street. Matthew Moore, 37-years-old, was airlifted to UT Medical Center. 

Athens Police said it appears the three subjects were inside the residence when the shooting began amongst themselves.
