Three robberies with similar suspect descriptions reported

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police responded to 3 individual robbery from person calls on Tuesday evening all with similar suspect and suspect vehicle descriptions.

The first incident occurred at 8:36 pm on Minor Street near Cherokee Blvd. Police say a man was walking when a white Hyundai approached him. According to police, the victim said a black male with a handgun got out of the car and demanded his belongings. The victim gave the man his belongings and fled on foot.

At 8:58 pm, the second incident occurred at City Green Apartments on Urban Trail. Officials say the female victim was approached from behind by a black male with a handgun who demanded her belongings. She gave the man her belongings and fled on foot. Police say she saw a white sedan with tinted windows leaving the parking lot.

The third incident occurred at 495 Riverfront Parkway at  9:24 pm. A male and a female told police they were running on the Riverwalk when a black male with a handgun approached them, demanding their belongings. According to police, the victims complied and the suspect fled on foot to a white sedan.

Chattanooga Police say that the suspect vehicle is a white 4-door Hyundai Sonata with tinted window, plastic hubcaps, and a loud muffler.
