So Far, so good for Alabama fans.

This fall, they have a new head football coach after the legendary Nick Sabean retired.

It’s been four decades since the school has seen a transition like this.

In 1983, Ray Perkins stepped into the shoes just vacated by the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant.

And when he visited Dalton that year, he knew what he was stepping in to.
