Thyssenkrupp auto supply plant shutting down in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A neighbor and supplier for Chattanooga’s Volkswagen plant is shutting down.

Thyssenkrupp has filed notice with the Tennessee that they are closing their plant on Volkswagen Drive in Chattanooga.

156 workers will lose their jobs in May.

The German company supplies auto assembly lines.

They have more than 20 facilities across the globe.

The company is not offering a reason for the Chattanooga shutdown.
