Train To Go, other organizations host softball game at McCallie School

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Organizers gathered together for a community softball game at the McCallie School this morning.

The event was for everyone to get out and have fun during spring break.

All walks of life were in attendance, in an effort to help stop violence in Chattanooga.

Organizers say the softball game is important to be an impact and give back to the city.

Sponsors for this event were On Point Organization, Changing the Direction for Success and the Lighthouse Collective.

Ian Hayes, Founder of Train to Go says, “Knowing they have something to offer in their communities like so it ain’t always just in the classroom, it’s not always stop that do this, we want to to be able to give back, so this is just an opportunity of many that we will be hosting throughout this year to give back to the community. ”

Hayes also says he hopes having more events for the youth will be a light in the community.
