CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Fire Department extinguished a commercial fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire department said they were notified of the fire by alarm around 2 a.m.

Firefighters noticed smoke coming from the City Waste Services’ storage area at 3105 Freeman Avenue.

The smoke was coming from a trash fire.

Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the building and with an aerial. They also used a loader to break down materials to more easily extinguish the fire.
