Tree falls on Fairview Road home

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Fire says crews were called to Fairview Road Sunday evening around 7:30 p.m. after a tree fell into an occupied home.

According to fire officials, no one was injured but the tree was resting on the home with a two-foot intrusion into the second floor.

Chattanooga Fire says there was no threat of further damage so crews used plastic tarps to protect the home.

Fire officials say the scene was turned back over to the residents once the home was deemed secure.
