Trial begins in beating of Red Clay park ranger
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – The trial of a Bradley County man began on Wednesday in the beating of a Red Clay state park ranger two years ago.
Prosecutors accuse Christopher Hinds of attacking 62-year old James Russell after an apparent mistaken identity.
Officers say Hinds thought Russell had run one of his relatives off the road.
Officials say Hinds and other unnamed family members took part in the assault.
