Trial delayed for Cortez Sims
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The sentencing trial for Cortez Sims has been delayed once again.
20-year-old Sims is accused in the shooting death of Talitha Bowman and the shooting of Zoe Horton. She’s the infant who was left paralyzed in 2015 at College Hill Courts.
Sims was scheduled to be sentenced last week, but it was pushed back after he filed a motion for a new trial.
In April, Sims was found guilty of first-degree murder.
A status hearing has been set for August 2nd.
