Truck driver charged in Monday night I 59 fatality

TRENTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dade County investigators have charged a truck driver in the fatal crash Monday evening on I 59 at the Slygo exit.

They determined the wreck happened when an 18 wheeler pulled back into traffic from the side of the road.

A car hit it from behind, running underneath the trailer.

The driver of the car, 34 year old Thomas Walling of Rossville, was killed.

Then two other vehicles collided behind the tractor trailer.

35 year old Stephen W. Farmer from Fort Payne has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle (2nd Degree), and Failure to Yield When Entering the Roadway, both misdemeanors.
