TVA issues its own burn ban for recreational sites

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Tennessee Valley Authority issues a burn ban on all public lands, recreational areas and facilities across its entire seven state region.

All open flames are prohibited.

That means no campfires, no barbeques, and no smoking.

It even prohibits you from parking on a non-paved or gravel surface on their property.

And if you see someone violating the ban, contact TVA Police a 855-476-2489.

TVA is also temporarily closing public access to recreation areas in the wildfire zones.
