TVA provided STEM grants to local area schools

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) partnership is awarding over a million dollars to a number of schools in the Tennessee Valley.

These STEM grants will impact more than 130,000 students.

If you’re wondering what this benefits, think dual enrollment-focused programs and new tech like 3D printing.

Students can now gain hands-on technical experience.

Any school that gets their power from a local TVA power company was able to apply.
