TVFCU spreads holiday cheer to Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) felt the Christmas spirit this year with the Angel Tree program.

Tiffany Wolf the Community Engagement Liaison said, “We had 53 bags we got through the auction we held internally, which got a bunch of toys for elderly people as well as children. All of our branches combined got 182 bags. Some branches did different programs like Stockings Full of Love and that was an additional estimated 225 toys.”

They have been doing the auction for 17 years.

“It’s just so wonderful. I honestly think our employees at TVFCU have such big hearts. They’ve been doing the internal auction since 2006 and people get so excited about it,” said Wolf.

TVFCU carried their weight this holiday season.

“We brought in the most bags of any organization. Just one individual organization. That was really cool that we could help in that way,” said Wolf. “Of course it took the whole entire community since there was such a large need this year. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without our members in the community.”

Their employees all worked together to bring joy to others.

Wolf said, “We even had extra angels that we needed help to get toys for and we had so many volunteers of people willing to go the extra mile to help and make sure that every single kid or elderly person got what they requested. It was just so cool to see the whole team pull together and genuinely care. Just to see our credit union philosophy and mission lived out even in our individual employees is really amazing.”

Although the Angel Tree program is finished for 2023, you can still donate to the Salvation Army.

TVFCU will do it again in 2024.
