Two arrested after early morning Soddy Daisy Pursuit

SODDY DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Two individuals have been arrested after an early morning pursuit in Soddy Daisy.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) reported that in the early morning hours of September 23, 2024, deputies attempted a traffic stop on Sequoyah Road.

The deputy approached the vehicle, when it sped off, and a pursuit was ensued.

Deputies ended the pursuit as the vehicle was going at a fast rate of speed, causing deputies to lose visual contact.

Shortly after, a 911 call was received, stating a suspicious vehicle had pulled into a driveway in the 1800 block of Sequoyah Access Road.

After deputies arrived, they found the vehicle abandoned.

The male driver and female passenger had fled the vehicle.

Reports revealed the car had been stolen from a Chattanooga apartment complex since May 2024.

HCSO activated a search for the two individuals.

Deputies located 64-year-old passenger Davonna Ashburn in a nearby barn.

43-year-old Brandon McNeece was apprehended after a brief foot chase with deputies.

McNeece had a revoked drivers license and was avoiding probation.

He also had multiple outstanding warrants from Hamilton and Marion counties, and North Georgia.

Brandon McNeece was charged with the following:

  • Theft of Property
  • Evading Arrest (Felony)
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Possession of Drugs for Resale (x2)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Driving on a Revoked License
  • Vandalism
  • Reckless Driving
  • Cruelty to Animals
  • Evading Arrest (Misdemeanor)
  • Numerous Traffic-Related Violations
  • Evading Arrest (Felony)/Driving Under the Influence 2nd
  • Evading Arrest (Felony)/Reckless Endangerment (Felony)

Davonna Ashburn was charged with the following:

  • Evading Arrest (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Meth for Resale
  • Possession of Drugs for Resale
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
