Two arrested after two undercover sex sting operations

 

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Two people were arrested on Lookout Mountain Monday after two undercover sting operations with several agencies.

The Lookout Mountain Police Department (LMPD) received a notification from the FBI and TBI that a man named Jeffery Young was on his way to Lookout Mountain to meet a 15-year-old male for sex.

The TBI made contact with Young on May 30, 2025, posing as the 15-year-old.

According to an affidavit, Young discussed performing sexually explicit acts on the minor over text to the agents.

When Young arrived at the scheduled meeting location, he was immediately met with FBI and TBI agents.

Young was arrested and is being charged with Solicitation of a Minor.

Another incident similar to this occurred on the same day on Lookout Mountain.

The TBI, FBI, LMPD, and the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD were involved in this undercover sting.

According to an affidavit, Miguel Garcia thought we was engaging in a text conversation with a 14-year-old female, who was attempting to meet for sex.

The text conversation was actually between Miguel and an undercover officer.

Miguel and the undercover officer scheduled a meeting at the Lookout Mountain Tennis Courts.

When Miguel arrived, authorities arrested him and he’s being charged with Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Aggravated Statutory Rape.
