Two injured in small plane crash at Chattanooga airport
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Two people were injured in a small plane crash at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport this morning.
The single engine plane crashed at the north end of the airport around 10 AM.
Rescuers removed two people from the plane and sent them to the hospital.
We don’t know their conditions at this point.
Fire officials report there were no fuel leaks from the plane.
The airport has re-opened to traffic.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Fire officials say “We appreciate the airport’s leadership in conducting training events with public safety agencies so that the CFD and others are prepared to effectively respond to these kinds of emergency incidents.”
