Two juveniles arrested in connection to the Soddy Daisy auto burglaries

SODDY DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Two juveniles have been arrested in connection to the auto theft and burglaries in Soddy Daisy over the weekend.

On February 2, 2025, at 1:30 a.m., officers with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to the 5600 block of Sofias Circle.

Upon arrival, officers were made aware of a 2019 Honda CRV that had been stolen from the residence.

When investigating, authorities found a social media video showing the suspect driving the stolen vehicle.

Recovered rifle that was stolen from a SDPD vehicle / Chattanooga Police Department

According to CPD, the suspect was later identified as a 16-year-old male.

The following day, the CPD Auto Crimes Unit conducted a search warrant at the suspect’s residence.

During the search, investigators located a rifle that had been stolen from a Soddy Daisy Police Department (SDPD) vehicle.

Investigators also located a magazine that had been stolen from a CPD vehicle.

CPD stated that the police vehicles were targeted in recent auto burglaries in both Soddy Daisy and Chattanooga.

Investigators also identified a 13-year-old male as a second suspect during the search warrant.

Both juveniles were arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

Both are being charged with the following:

  • Auto Burglary
  • Theft
  • Possession of a Firearm
