Two juveniles charged with vandalizing Pikeville church

PIKEVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Two juveniles have been charged after allegedly breaking into a local church.

On March 29, 2025, officers with the Pikeville Police Department (PPD) were dispatched to 7 Methodist Street on reports of a vandalism in progress.

Upon arrival, Officer Matthew Brock contacted a witness who had observed the vandalism.

The witness told officer Brock they had observed two juvenile males exiting the United Methodist Church after vandalizing the inside.

Investigators found extensive destruction inside the church, including green paint thrown on floors and walls, overturned furniture, broken televisions, vases, and discharged fire extinguishers.

The suspects also left water running in the basement, seemingly in an attempt to flood the area. Additionally, one of the juveniles was found with a church-owned iPad.

Both suspects have been charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Vandalism over $10,000, and Theft.

They were released to their parents and are set to appear in court on April 11 at 1 p.m.
