Two Murray County teens win honorable mention in 14th Congressional District art contest

ROME, Ga. (WDEF) – Two Murray County teens took home honorable mentions in the annual 14th District Congressional Art Competition.

The awards were given out Monday night at a reception at Heritage First Bank in Rome by Georgia representative Tom Graves (R-GA-14).

Katelyn Crumbley of North Murray High School won honorable mention for her work titled, “Hands.” Mikayla Feltman also took home an honorable mention for her work titled, “Space Dream.”

“Each year, I’m surprised and encouraged by the talented young people of Northwest Georgia,” said Rep. Graves. “You can see by their work that these young artists are truly gifted. I thank each one of them for participating in this year’s Congressional Art Competition. I also thank Heritage First Bank for hosting the gallery and reception, and the Rome Area Council for the Arts for facilitating the competition.”
