Two Rhea County men indicted on separate child sex abuse cases

RHEA COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Two men out of Rhea County have been indicted for sexual abuse of children in two separate cases.

Investigators from the Department of Children’s Services and Rhea County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) Detective, Rocky Potter, investigated both cases.

In June of 2024, the investigators and the 12th District Attorney’s Office of the 12th Judicial District presented evidence to a Rhea County Grand Jury.

Last week, after reviewing the evidence, the jury returned charges on Daniel Willis.

He is charged with two counts of Sexual Battery by Authority Figure.

Willis is currently being held at the Rhea County Jail on a $150,000 bond awaiting trial.

In July of 2024, the investigators and the 12th District Attorney’s Office of the 12th Judicial District presented evidence to a Rhea County Grand Jury about another child sex abuse case.

RCSD reported that after reviewing the evidence last week, the jury returned charges on Jamie L. Jordan.

He is charged with three counts of Rape of a Child and Aggravated Sexual Battery.

Jordan is currently being held at the Rhea County Jail on a $750,000 bond awaiting trial.
