Two Victims of Fiery I 16 Crash are from Whitfield County

Savannah, GA – Georgia State Troopers have just released the names of the five people killed Tuesday in a fiery interstate collision.

And two are from our area.

They are 72-year-old Glenda Adams of Cohutta and 71-year-old Jerry Earnest of Varnell.

Officials say four vehicles and three tractor trailers were involved.

Investigators believe one of the truck drivers fell asleep and hit a car, which ignited in flames.

Adams and Earnest were in one of the cars hit by a tractor trailer.
