CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Supply Chain 101 will soon be in session at Chattanooga State Community College.
Trucking giant U.S. Xpress is working with Chattanooga State Community College to add a Future Ready Institute at the company’s headquarters in East Brainerd.
The company is planning to convert some of its facility into a training ground for students to learn more about information technology.
The skills could well serve Chattanooga’s growing logistics industry.
Dr. Bryan Johnson U.S. Xpress Chief of Staff tells us “We’re obviously looking at the entire continuum trying to make sure that we work with the school system to expose students earlier to the field but then also looking at adults that may have not considered this as a career and really showing what the options are.”
Eric Fuller, the C-E-O of U.S. Xpress, said he hopes for the training program to being this fall.
