United Way of Chattanooga currently recruiting for tutoring program

This program offers educational support to students from 1st through 8th grade.
Adults and students are eligible to apply to be tutors.
“We are looking for someone who can work for this fall semester. If they can start September 5 and work with us until the end of December, that’s what we’re looking for,” said Project Manager Deardra McGee.
The goal is for each student to receive a total of 30 tutoring sessions per semester.
Tutors will be paid based on their credentials.
“To help students accelerate their learning, United Way is partnering with local public TN schools and various after-school community sites to offer high-impact, low-ratio tutoring,” their website states.
