University of North Carolina faces possible armed threat
UPDATE:
The shelter in place at the University of North Carolina has ended.
However, all classes are cancelled for Tuesday, August 29 and all non-mandatory operations are suspended.
At around 4:30 p.m., UNC sent out an alert to stay away from Caudill Labs will police continued to investigate.
UNC Police have shared an image of the suspect.
They say if anyone sees this man, they should keep their distance and call 911.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WDEF) — The University of North Carolina is facing an “armed and dangerous person” threat on or near their campus.
Police at the university are responding to this threat.
An alert went out to the school regarding the threat just after 1 p.m. on Monday.
Campus police directed students and staff to go inside and avoid windows.
