Unmarked, white blimp sighting in Dalton area

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — With the increase in balloon-like objects over North America, people showed concern after seeing an unmarked blimp over the Dalton area today.

From a distance, it may look similar to the Chinese balloon shot down earlier this month.

However, it was only an unwrapped blimp, according to the Dalton Airport.

Dalton Municipal Airport said in a Facebook post, “Don’t shoot! Just a regular Airsign Airship America blimp in today for a refueling. This is what they look like without the advertising wraps.”

Those who saw the blimp took to social media with photos and videos.

However, the Dalton Airport showed a close-up of the blimp. They want to reassure those in the Dalton area that there is no need to be concerned.
