Upcoming road closures and construction that could impact locals

The following are road closures that could impact individuals from Friday, March 27 to Thursday, April 2.

1715 Newell Ave

Newell Ave between N Hickory Street and N Hawthorne Street will be closed from Friday, March 27th, through Tuesday, March 31st for a sewer repair. Detours will be posted.

819 Broad Street – Southbound

Southbound Broad Street between 8th Street and W MLK Blvd will be closed Saturday, March 28th at 7:30 AM for an estimated 2-3 hours due to an emergency crane lift. Detours will be via 8th Street and Chestnut Street.

Veterans Bridge – Riverfront Parkway Ramp

The ramp from Veterans Bridge southbound to Riverfront Parkway westbound will be closed from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM on the following dates for a mural installation:

Monday, March 30th – Thursday, April 2nd
Monday, April 6th – Friday, April 10th

Lookout Street

Lookout Street between Georgia Ave and E 6th Street will be closed Monday, March 30th, through Friday, April 3rd, to serve as a laydown area for Fireman’s Fountain upgrades and repairs.

W 33rd Street

W 33rd Street between Broad Street and Williams Street will be closed Monday, March 30th, through Wednesday, April 1st, for paving and road repairs. Detours will be posted.

1009 Winthrop Street

Winthrop Street between Pole Place and Endicott Street will be closed Tuesday, March 31st through Monday, April 13th for sewer repairs. Detours will be posted.

O’Neal Street at Williams Road

The intersection of O’Neal Street and Williams Road will have the following restrictions from Wednesday, April 1st, through Monday, April 6th for sewer repairs:

O’Neal Street will be closed at Williams Street, access will need to be via Norcross Road
Williams Road at O’Neal Street will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers allowing for two way traffic
