Update: Custodial kidnapping

Update: Chattanooga Police located Tony Thomas and the two children in Toledo, Ohio Friday.

Thomas is in custody in Lucas County and awaiting extradition.

Police said the children were unharmed and will be in CPS custody until the mother is able to pick them up.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)- Chattanooga Police say there was a custodial kidnapping at Tender Loving Care Academy Thursday night.

It happened just after 5:00 on Sheridan Avenue.

Officers learned that the father, Tony Thomas, picked up 3-year-old Isaiha Kitchens and 1 year old Joseph Darrell Kitchens

without the mother’s consent.

Thomas left in a vehicle with Michigan plates and was seen heading toward Wilcox Boulevard.

Police are still trying to locate him.
