ATHENS, Tenn. — A man is wanted on attempted first degree murder charges following an investigation after a stabbing incident that occurred on Hamby Street in Athens.

David Rodriguez Cruz, a 32-year-old Hispanic male, is wanted in connection with the stabbing.

Cruz is described as approximately 200 pounds, 5 foot 11” with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Athens Police Department says Cruz may not be in the immediate area, but individuals should not approach him if they see him.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or the Athens Police Department.
