Update: Pedestrian hit identified

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police identify the victim as 22-year-old Levi S. Youster.

Chattanooga (WDEF) – Chattanooga police now say the victim who was hit by a car overnight was dragged about four blocks.

It happened around 1:40 AM at 400 Cherry Street.

The victim was severely injured, but is expected to live.

Investigators are still looking into what exactly happened.
