Update on reopening Chattanooga YFD Centers

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Mayor Kelly has promised that Chattanooga’s Youth and Family Development Centers will re-open soon.

On Wednesday, his staff updated the progress so far.

Ellis Smith said the staff will present their plan to City Council next week.

They are currently hiring camp counselors and sports temps needed to open the facilities and summer programs.

They are paying $15 an hour.
