CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Although the winter season is approaching, Warner Park Pool is getting some safety upgrades.

The Warner Park Pool, which has been around for over a hundred years, is unveiling a new state-of-the-art liner that will enhance the safety of the pool as well as the overall aesthetics.

For years, the pool has been required to be painted to remain at peak shape, and each season required draining to perform necessary touch-ups and maintenance, including addressing the expansion joints.

Brian Smith of Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors stated that the pool is “extremely popular and has been that way for a number of years” which is after 40,000 visitors this past summer, “installing a brand-new liner and doing some enhancements” will guarantee safety and enjoyment for future use.

The new upgrades will include anti-skid features, reinstalled and secured handrails, a sealed gutter system, and refreshed racing lines all to be ready for summer. The renovation represents a commitment to a top-tier community facility for all to enjoy for years to come.
