US Paralympic cycling event takes place in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)-Chattanooga played host to a US Paralympic cycling event which will decide the cycling Paralympic team in the upcoming world games.

Athletes who experience disabilities, either from birth or later on in life, competed in cycling races in Enterprise South.

Athletes competed in different races and they range from balance issues, missing limbs, or other disabilities.

Whether it started from birth or you had an injury or illness, to be able to come here and showcase themselves as the amazing athletes that they are. Which is what this is, it’s athletes who are competing against their peers and showcasing themselves the best as possible,” said Sarah Hammer-Kroening.
