UT Online Programs Earn National Recognition
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)-The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is receiving national recognition for its online education programs.
U.S. News & World Report ranked UT among the best in the nation for online education in its 2026 Best Online Education Programs list. The ranking highlights the university’s commitment to high-quality, accessible learning for students across the country.
Shay Scott, Professor of Practice and Vice Dean & Chief Operating Officer at UT, said the ranking reflects the program’s consistency and dedication. “The ranking by U.S. News is just a testimony to the fact that we still have the same program quality, the same faculty, the same offerings,” Scott said. “We were really pleased to hear that external recognition. We love to serve students whether they’re sitting in our classroom here on Rocky Top or whether they are sitting in their living room across the state.”
The recognition comes as the university continues to expand its fully online undergraduate and graduate degree programs, ensuring students can earn accredited degrees without being physically on campus.
Congratulations to the University of Tennessee on the national recognition.
