UTC discusses evolution of AI

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – UTC is continuing its expansion of integrating artificial intelligence into its education.

That was music for happy people made by AI guided by a UTC graduate student.

Today, they held their first panel discussion featuring graduate students and faculty members as part of their AI initiative.

They discussed the challenges facing society in how AI will be integrated, and how it is already rapidly changing life on campus.

Dr. Vicki Farnsworth. UTC’s Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer said, “In the marketing and communication space, it’s really evident that the tools are evolving really quickly. One of the team members talked about how he used to have to edit photos for hours a day to get them ready for a publication, and now he can do it in just a few minutes because a lot of the tools have evolved including AI.”

They will be holding a series of lectures and releasing a podcast to discuss all things AI, which are free to the public to attend and listen to.
