UTC police searching for attempted robbery suspect
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Police say they’re looking for a suspect following an attempted robbery last night.
They say a male student was attacked walking on McCallie Avenue shortly before 2 a-m near Parking Lot 51.
An unknown male approached him and attempted to take his bag.
After a brief struggle, that suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a 5’5 black male with very short hair between 25 and 50 years old.
They say he was wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes.
The UTC Police Department is actively investigating this crime.
