UTC Volleyball Team Off to Fast Start
Chattanooga-(WDEF) The UTC Volleyball team is off to their best start in nearly 30-years. Thanks to a seven match winning streak, they’re off to an 11-2 start this season. You have to go back to 1986 to find such a successful start when Chattanooga began that season 12-1. UTC should carry plenty of confidence into their SoCon schedule, which gets underway on Friday.
Said head coach Travis Filar, "We’ve got opportunities to do things that we’ve never done or haven’t done in a long, long time. Of course, I think the excitement level for me is high. I think it’s a little bit higher for our kids just because they are such an amazing group, and they have done so much just to get to this point."
UTC hosts UNCG on Friday at 6pm followed by a home date on Saturday with Western Carolina at 6pm.
