UTC Women Headed to Knoxville to Face Pittsburgh in NCAA Tournament

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team received a No. 7 seed, its highest in school history, and will take on No. 10 Pittsburgh Saturday, March 31 in Knoxville, Tenn. The other side of the bracket features No. 2 Tennessee and No. 15 Boise State.

This will be Chattanooga’s third 11 a.m. game. UTC is 2-0 in the morning tips and 17-1 in day games.

This will be UTC’s 13th trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Mocs claimed the regular season title with a 14-0 mark in the Southern Conference and backed it up with a win in the SoCon Tournament. Sophomore Jasmine Joyner was named the SoCon Tournament Most Outstanding Player and was joined on the all-tournament team by Chelsey Shumpert, Ka’Vonne Towns and Alicia Payne.
