UTC Women Improve to 10-1 After Beating Lipscomb 72-62
(gomocs.com) Chattanooga Mocs women’s basketball improved to 10-1 on the year with a 72-62 road win over Lipscomb (6-4).
Sigrun Olafsdottir got the scoring started for the Mocs with a 3-pointer and Chattanooga went on to make 12-of-26 from the perimeter, a season-high. The Mocs shot 43.1 percent for the game and was 16-of-19 from the free throw line. UTC outrebounded Lipscomb 36-29.
Jada Guinn led all scorers with 24 points, her second-highest point total this season, making 7-of-12 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the stripe. She pulled down nine boards and dished out five assists. Addie Grace Porter was 4-of-7 from the 3-point line for 12 points and Caia Elisadez put up 11, making 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Karsen Murphy was 3-of-4 from range and grabbed eight rebounds.
Chattanooga returns home Sunday, December 17 to host Eastern Kentucky at 2:00 p.m.
