UTC Women Ready to March on in March

We saw the UTC women punch their ticket to the Big Dance on Sunday after beating Wofford in the SoCon finals.

The victory celebration turned into a big hug-fest. It was UTC’s first touranment title since 2017. Chattanooga is now 19-0 all time in the SoCon tournament finals.

Incredible stat. And what an incredible season for first year head coach Shawn Poppie.

Said Poppie:””You dream about this your whole life. Not only as a coach but these young people. They poured everything into our program and unviersity. They finally get what they deserve.”
Said guard Addie

Porter:”I mean we always believed in ourselves. It was really just proving it to everybody else. Just going out there for coach poppie and getting it done for him. We’re all in it together.. everybody has got to have each other’s back, and that’s what we did.”
