UTC Women Stay Perfect in the SoCon With 73-55 Win Over Greensboro

Chattanooga won its fifth straight game to remain undefeated in 2024 beating UNCG 73-55 on the road Thursday night. The Mocs snapped the Spartans’ home court undefeated streak and improved to 16-3 overall and hold on to first in the SoCon with a 4-0 record. UNCG drops to 13-7 overall and 2-3 against the league.

Raven Thompson led three Mocs in double digits with a game-high 19 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds. Jada Guinn dropped in 18 points and Caia Elisaldez scored a career-high 14 points and dished out five assists.

The Mocs were 25-of-49 (51%) from the field for the game despite getting off to a slow start in the first making just 4-of-14 attempts. Chattanooga shot 8-of-12 (66.7%) in the fourth quarter and 56 percent (14-25) in the second half.

Up next for Chattanooga is a trip to Western Carolina Saturday. The game is set to tip off at 2:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Center.
